Italian Barbeque My sister-in-law never mastered regular barbeque, so she created her own version and the family has been eternally grateful. Christmas Eve wouldn’t be Christmas Eve without one of these sandwiches at midnight. But it’s definitely NOT just for the holidays. |

5 pounds of Italian Sausage removed from casing BROWN in large pot BREAK DOWN with potato masher or fork ADD large can of Pizza Sauce ADD 2 pizza cans of water STIR ADD following additional seasonings to taste: Sweet Basil Crushed Red Pepper Salt & Pepper Onion Salt Garlic Salt Italian Seasoning |

SIMMER slowly until water is absorbed. COOL in fridge REMOVE fat from the surface SERVE hot on crusty Italian bun with slice of Muenster, Provolone, or Mozzarella. This recipe can be frozen for a couple months without losing its flavor. |
